Message First, if your TT is stock or less than 400HP, the stock viscous LSD should be fine. If, on the other hand you have more HP and/or race, then the stock viscous LSD may have some limitations. Basically, as the stock unit heats up (very hard driving) it will begin to loose its effectiveness (i.e. one wheel will loose traction).

Clutch type LSD’s are very noisy, require replacement of the clutch discs and in most cases require special (and expensive oils). The Quaife ATB LSD is like the old Torson unit and uses worm gears to adjust torque bias to each wheel. No clutches, no excess noise, no special gear oil. Again, if you are not drag or road racing with higher HP, you probably don’t need anything other than the stock unit.
