| It seems to me since they have expanded their product line they now want this turbo to fit into place within that product line. Like how GM used to rate the LS1 in the fbody cars at 305 hp and in the corvette at 350 hp. They just quoted the HP at different RPM (yes there were some differences in them - exhaust/intake mainly). So, for marketing reasons they simply only flow test the turbo to 2.5 where as they will test others larger turbos higher. I think it all comes down to marketing. I have not heard of a high failure rate on these turbos due to high shaft speed. My $.02 anyway, as this is the only thing that really makes sense to me. That is where I will leave it in my mind until I hear something more conclusive.
