Message ......most of the people discussing this do not know how to properly read a compressor flow map. (this has led to a lot of incorrect statements being made)

.....some fail to recognize that efficiency and longevity are two completely unlrelated components of which there isn't even a simplification to correlate the two.

.....with proper intercooling, the car will make appreciably more power up to this turbocharger's maximum limit on our vehicles.

.....water injection will further improve the efficiency of the forced induction configuration and provide additional safety to the powerplant.

..... higher boost pressures are going to create more wear on the turbocharger, but a powerplant system with appropriate "efficiency boosters" (intercoolers, WI, race fuel) as well as proper tuning, will allow the system to operate at its maximum potential without immediate failure. The owner can choose how they want to use the vehicle and decide what works best for them.

..... that as the turbocharger use moves into less-efficient conditions, the intercoolers begin playing a very large role to maintain cool airflow into the engine, thereby preserving efficiency as well as making it nearly impossible to determine what is safely possible. The only way to make that determination is to probe the system and take measurements of the conditions while it is in use.

..... regardless of what you can do to the heads of a VG30DETT, you are NOT going to exceed the capability of the GT28RS compressor unless you are spinning the engine over 8000RPM, regardless of if you are looking at the new map or the old map.

......Garrett/Honeywell administration needs to organize their corporation to prevent mismanagement of documentation as well as have tighter screening policies for the hiring process.

....... I think too much. :)
