| That being said, the fact remains that stock recircs were designed by engineers under the assumption that the vehicle would have the turbos flowing a certain CFM, less than any TT with a boost upgrade. What makes you think the stock valves release enough pressure mid-shift to prevent a pressure gradient surge? They certainly weren't designed with the increased CFMs in mind... Couple that with the fact that stock recircs tend to leak after oh, 10 to 15 years and you've got a recipe for increased mean time between failure. A good pressure release valve (HKS SSQV, Turbonetics Godzilla) plumbed to recirculate to the intake tract is my recommendation.
