Message that is a crap situation for your friend, but if homeowners insurance is made for just that, then why did she hire her own lawyer with her own money?

I believe her insurance company requested that she did so, I am not clear on this detail however.

This doesn't seem to make much sense. And if she's got family members out to get her, would you want to lay your investers money on that line?!?!!?!?!

She fought for years for the insurance company and the family member got nothing. Sounds like a customer I'd like to have.

seriously. They deny her due to a report filed to choicepoint or transunion on the case. If I were an insurance company who saw that on the report ordered for nearly every risk, I'd avoid any legal situations as much as possible as well. And if state regulation allows this, than so be it.

Legal and ethical are two different things.

I see your point though kenny, I'm just playing the other side.

also "Insurance companies do absolutely everything they can to preserve their bottom line with no regard whatsoever to business ethics." - You can replace the word insurance with just about any other industry type if Insurance qualifies for that statement. It is a capitolist scociety, and that is the name of the game. To one-up YOU.

Businesses are about making money, yes, and the bottom line is the bottom line. That does not grant ethical immunity, and you know as well as I that there are successful businesses throughout the word who practice business in an ethical manner. Insurance companies don't.

mkay?
