Subject	first step? ECU and what?

Message	ok i bought this 94 TT 5spd. its in the shop getting the head gaskets done so while its in there i am thinking about getting a ECU. what does everyone think about the Z1motorsports ECU. they claim that the secondary map is a safe mode while the first map is the performance one. idk. but if i get this ECU what should i get for a boost controller? i'm not good with these electronics yet. as for mods when i get the car rolling it will have an intake and the heads and upper and lower intake ported.. maybe some exhaust but it all depends on my money flow or lak of.. please get back to me with your wisdom asap.. thank ya
