As far as the reving, yes it always sounds stressful, but its really nothing compared to the stresses in an engine under load. It always freaks people out when you pull the throttle cable up on a Z at idle a couple times pretty hard, even to just 4 or 5 k rpm. No more RPM that just regular driving, but it makes a bunch of noise when you are standing over the hood and they wonder why your trying to blow it up. If it can't take a little free reving, I feel sorry for its chances on the street.
