| :really be good at it. Most mechs I know aren't the happiest lot of folks. Its just the normal 9-5 grind for them. :-/ Most techs arent happy not becuase of what they do but becuase of a slow week or a lack of work. I have yet to meet a tech who hated what he does. I admit there are days when I aint happy at work, but everyone has those days. See us technicians are paid by the job not by the hour. This hurts on slow weeks or even as of lately slow months. When you go from flagging 80-100 hours every two weeks to flagging 60-70 hours that hurts your wallet, and that in turn makes you a very unhappy camper. So next time you complain about how a tech does a job think about what all that tech is doing becuase most of us are working on 2 to 3 cars at a time just to make ends meat. This sometimes leads to things getting overlooked or just missed. It happens. Hell I have forgot a few things on occasions luckly nothing too important. Sorry to dump on you all like that but, I see to many people bashing technicians for charging to much or for not being magicians. Most importantly we are people, with our up days and our down days. Just like everyone else. Without us you cars would be only good for about 2-5 years then you would have to buy a new one becuase most consumers couldnt figure out whats wrong with it.
