| While my license plate was being shaved, the body shop tried to solder in a piece of urethane. He applied the same tools and the same temperature settings that he usually uses on urethane, but the bumper would just bubble and burn instead of melting like standard urethane. The body shop owner said that he has seen this before, it turns out that Nissan uses some sort of additive in their urethane mixture to stiffen the bumper and prevent it from sagging under heat cycles.
