| have said you will need two BOV for our cars. The hood itself if a true VIS is a decent product. I have the same hood on my car and at times I like it and at others I don’t. It does relieve heat from under the hood. Whether the heat it gets rid of makes any real difference I don’t know. And don’t think the CF hood is any weight reduction. Unlike many other cars, the Z already has an aluminum light weight hood, so there is no performance gain via weight reduction. You have the sacred green "N" so I will give you a few tips. For the most part everyone here knows a lot and can help you with the Z. However, when posting you want to realize a few things and avoids others. 1. Any reference to carbon fiber is like saying baby Jesus never existed at the Vatican on Christmas day; don’t expect to hear anything good in return. Some people like CF and others do not. Many here, who like it, would never dare admit it though for fear of not being accepted anymore. 2. Don’t mention EBAY. Most here will say nothing good ever comes from EBAY, that every part on EBAY is crap etc. There are many good deals on EBAY, just remember the old saying that if it is too good to be true, it probably is. Never link to EBAY unless in the classified section, it most likely will get cut by an admin. 3. Read the FAQs on here. If you post with little to no knowledge, you will get killed. There is an expectation of some brain function here. If you read the FAQs you will be able to function much easier when posting and will get much more favorable answers. 4. Grow a thick skin, very thick! There is a certain group of guys who have been here for a very long time. They are very opinionated and don’t sugarcoat anything when explaining how stupid you are for your decisions. These same people are probably the most experienced and knowledgeable Z people who can and will help you. 5. Don’t ask about body modifications. Whether you want a new fascia or Lamborghini doors, it just won’t end pretty. That section of guys I was referring to earlier is die hard about keeping a car as stock as possible on the outside. 6. Be yourself, this place isn’t a popularity contest, although some I think still believe it is. The reason a forum like this is fun and interesting is because it is a melting pot of people with something in common. In the case of TT.Net it is the Z car. At times this place becomes too much of a bunch of minions following the hierarchies lead. Fresh ideas and input are always needed so don’t bend completely to popular demand.
