we have a lot of bandwagons around here, and a lot of them I can just let go, but everyone who insist that the stock color of stock wheels is the best looking way to go should open to other posibilities. The color used on stock wheels is outdated. Most modern good looking wheels use a significantly more charcoal shade of gray. stock wheels look much better painted bronze, black, chrome, or a multitude of other colors, when put on the right color car. And of course you could just paint them a more modern shade. chroming a stock wheel does not add significantly to the weight of the wheel, and has nearly no performance downsides. there are lots of people, even people who dont strive for bling, who think this is a noticable visual improvement. caveat: center caps should match the rest of the wheel.
