I had an overheating problem with my clutch once and it was as if I werent releasing the pedal all the way(like riding the clutch) until it cooled off. I think my problem was that the fluid was boiling and created airbubbles in the hydraulics. This bay be the case for you. Did the car smell realy bad like burning metal or welding fumes? If so, the clutch is fried, but if there was no smell, I dont think it was the clutch itself. I think you need to check the fluid for your clutch and possibly change it out. Check it out today while its still cold to see if its engaging. I think its you hydraulics in need of a fluid change.
