I noticed that you were using straight grade 304SS. I was wondering if you had considered using the low carbon grade 304L at all. 304 SS is susceptable to sensitization in the heat affected zones of welds, in addition, the operating tempertures of your pipes I'm guessing will be above the 900-1000 F needed to further sensitize that material. The sensitization could lead to IGSCC in that environement. I don't think the cost is much more and you would get better resitance to those types of cracking. Also on your water pump, I noticed that you were using the type of motor that uses a spring washer to hold the shaft bearings. I was going to mention to you that you have to make sure to put that spring in the correct direction. Probably you realized this, its just that I have seen literally hundreds of these type of motors blown up from the spring being mis-oriented. Keep up the fantastic work, I enjoy your posts.
