Message	people 22 hrs to get to charlotte/greenvillefrom charleston (200 miles). People in Oklahoma just dont get the mindboggling size and power of a large hurricane, they think tornados equate as far as a weather threat, but they dont, they dont even come close....there is NOWHERE to go if you do not evacuate, you are at the mercy of nature vs. human-engineered buildings. This hurricane was circumstantially much worse than andrew, and that is pretty bad. I hope all our friends down there got away and are safe, that was one scary scary storm with some of the aerial aftermath footage I have seen I doubt we will hear from many of them for a while.
