but there is a lot to be said for the amount of time they have to put in to monitor, update, repair etc etc.... I highly doubt anything they get from sponsors is at all worth it considering the time required to run a site like this...but that's just my speculation and the key point is that they don't have to do this, they do it cause they want to, and we reap the beneifits....I think most of us take it for granted... But as for the details, you'd have to ask them...I just think a little giving back for a site we all use and take for granted isn't too much to ask...
