There's this blackish stuff that rubbed off onto my car - I made sure to mention that when I filed the police report. This morning I looked outside and saw a vehicle I didn't see when I was walking around, looking for damaged vehicles (incident happened yesterday) and, 'lo and behold, look what I found: (I didn't have a tape measure handy so I used a pool cue)
Hmm, could it be... ?
 No other truck/SUV in the lot had a bumper anywhere NEAR that height, especially not with with black rubbery/plasticy stuff that could come off with a bit of friction. I called the police again and let them know I've found a suspected vehicle. 30 minutes later I'm speaking to an officer and showing him the damage to my vehicle and the truck with some of its bumper rubbed off. While we're talking, the owner stops by in a golf cart (apparently he works here... in maintenance. In true (insert racial slur of choice) fashion, he responds to the officer's most benign question with, "is there a video showing me do this?" The officer obviously thought the guy was full of shit, but as he explained to me, there wasn't a damn thing he could do about it without a witness. He got the jackass's name, number, address, etc. (turns out the truck isn't even his), but apparently couldn't do anything beyond it. I'm moving out of here in 2 weeks, it may be time for some vigilante justice...
