Mostly this is a bandaid for an out of tune ignition system. The factory ignition with properly gapped plugs should do the job just fine. There is something to be said about running high boost pressure and the need for added voltages at those pressure but from what I've read it's around 30psi where getting the spark to jump becomes a problem. Also something to consider is that the HKS system does not replace the coilpacks. So coilpacks that were designed to handle X amount of power (and produce Y amount of voltage) are now seeing higher than designed values.
HKS ignition amplifier: Money better spent on conducting the 6P's and a dyno session.
