| the Z32 constantly being touted as the best handling car in its class by respectable auto publications like M/T and C&D(which is saying alot with an RX-7 in the market) The new Z33 in set up to understeer by default, this trend did not start until the late late 90's in sportscars. It gives the novice driver a bit of a security blanket and somewhat inflates their confidence, unlike older sportscars which leaned towards oversteer which gives the driver more of a pucker factor and tends to slow them down. Me tends to think Mr. Wolf and Steppler are not quite the drivers as they are the engineers. I remember very distinctly the Z32 being heavily praised for being very neutral in its behavior in corners as opposed to being a frantic fishtailer. Hell I bet if you could find slalom times and grip figures, you would find almost identical #'s or negligibly close. Not bad with smaller contact patches and "crappy" suspensions.
