Message Went to the parents for dinner before heading home... pulled into the driveway about 9pm Sunday... walked into the house and the heat hit me like a brick wall... it was hotter INSIDE than outside (it was in the mid 90s outside...). The thermostat was PEGGED in the house... system was on, but air was tepid... a little warm... it was basically just circulating the air through the warm ducts in the attic and then blowing it in the house... =( Called the A/C Repair Guy but didn't get a call back until the morning... packed what little I'd taken out of the truck back up and headed back to the parents... wife and sons slept in the guest room, I got the coach... A/C Guy showed up about noon finally... fiddled around for almost 2 hours and finally said he'd temp fixed the system by bypassing two circuit boards in the unit in the attic... he said the damn thing had shorted out due to corrosion (I think the system is like 8 years old) and he said it would be $400 installed to replace the parts... and I've got all of like $79 in my checking account until I get paid on the 1st thanks for ZCon!!! Woot! Yeah for shoe string budgets! hehe... Thankfully its actually my inlaws house and they're rather nice about fixing things when they break so they said to have the A/C People send them the bill... house is almost down into the mid 70s again... joy. Heading back to work in the morning...
