The torque production of a motor is directly related to its stroke. Just like shorter wrenches produce less torque as a longer wrench with the same effort. More stroke = more torque = more HP at a particular RPM. More stroke means higher average piston speed, etc., usually implying lower usable RPM limit and thus similar HP to an indentically displaced motor. I dont know how the dimensions differ between these two motors, but this is still something to keep in mind.
