Message When I got in my accident back in March, my DS fender and DS door were damaged very badly. Pretty much beyond repair. And finding 2 seater body parts here is impossible. I ended up having a new door and fender shipped from the states. And then right after I did that, I got an email from a guy in the UK with the parts that I needed. DAMN! I could have just drove to the UK (about 2+ hours with the ferry) and picked them up. Oh well.

Talking about the weight thing though, there are other parts of the car that are metal in the states but plastic over here. For example, the actual front bumper...the metal one with the shocks that mounts to the frame rails...it is just one big plastic piece here in europe. No shocks or any other accident cushion. Just a big molded plastic piece that bolts on and houses the fog lights.

Seeing a Euro Z being rebuilt really helps to understand all the costs involved in making a non-US car US legal.
