I was the only one that really liked the Profec spec.1. It's easy as hell to use, has held up well, can be programmed easily, holds 24 psi on sport 500 turbos, doesn't have a learning mode and doesn't have so many bells and whistles that I needed to go back to school to learn how to use. In fact, I came across another one (slightly used) and bought it as a spare. I see some of the newer more complicated controllers and some of them just flat out don't work that well (I've found the Apexi controller to be a major PITA). And as far as komplexZTT's original question, I agree that any rise and then lowering of boost is considered a "boost spike", but that is so minor I wouldn't be concerned. And just to agree with spicyZ and BOOZTD 3, turning the gain down (and then the duty cycle up a little) should stabilize your boost. Take care, Mark
