Message	It's because of the constant heat cycling that they harden and basically bond to the fittings. Sometimes the only way to get them off is to cut them. Once they're off, it's a good idea to prep the fitting where hose contact is made to ensure a good seal. If the hose is cooked good enough, it might leave little chunks of hardened rubber on the fitting.
