Message	but this was a combination of sanding new, small patch-jobs and older patch jobs. I don't think the previous owners of the house owned sandpaper, since there were bad, old, non-smoothed patch jobs under the paint. The sponges don't sand that old painted stuff so well. There were even several "mounds" of joint compound over old plastic anchors left in the wall... How hard is it to pound them in??? And very little, if any, attempt made to make the "mounds" appear level and smooth. :-P
