The car you are describing sounds like a great ride. However, see the post a couple threads below about the "market adjustments" that dealers are adding onto E46 M3's. If I had a choice between dropping $40k on a used previous generation M3 and $50k on a brand new one, with the 330HP (count 'em- that's 90 more than the 99 version) and the added pimp factor, I would buy the new one in a heartbeat. I know from experience that it's not always easy to come up with "just another $10k", but it's something to think about. Of course, if you don't like the styling it's a moot point. Me, I'd sell my 93TT in a second if I could get a new M3 at something approaching a reasonable price. -John P : Hey folks.
: I drove an absolutely mint condition super white 99 M3. Black leather interior, sun roof. Loaded with all options including the 6-disc changer, heated seats, dual climate control, etc. : Brand new SO2's on stock 17" - very nice. Best of all there is no rear wing! I like the stealthy look. It was very fast above 3k RPM, and rock solid on handling. Nice exhaust note as you wind it out also. : Mileage is 19.8k and they are asking $38.9k. Liked it so much I put a deposit on it. : Any opinions from others out there I should consider???? : Will do the deal tomorrow if I don't get cold feet this evening. : Funny thing is they had a brand new 2001 M3 in Laguna Seca Blue on the lot, and I wasn't impressed with its looks. Of course I didn't dare drive the thing 'cause I know I would have been hooked. At over $50k it's not something I should get hooked to right now. : Thnaks for reading my NZR post.
