In turbocharged applications, there is more to an engine than displacement. The quality of the materials of individual components matter a good deal. The KA24 is a truck motor - slapping a turbo on there while ensuring reliability, good performance, and low costs involves a good deal more work, research and effort for similar gains. Then again, you know nothing about the KA24 and nothing about the SR20, so of course you "don't understand." The fact that your argument consisted solely of "the displacement is higher, it must be better" while completely ignoring time, cost, effort, parts availability, aftermarket support, and personal preference shows your feeble grasp the situation.
