I have had both, I had a 1985 NA Z31, a 1990 NA Z32, and now a 1991 300zx Twin Turbo and I think that they all have good qualities. For instance the non-turbos have less maintanance. Not just the engine but tires go waay faster, gas goes way faster, but you go way faster so its a trade off. I like how you don't really have to let NA's idle before they shut down. The NA is sort of like the economical sports car compared to the TT in my opinion. Of course it is funner to drive a TT, and I think everybody agrees on that one but the NA is a great car. The power band on a NA is also easier to get the hang of. With the NA you don't get the hicas and suspension dampener switch but I think the sport mode is too rough anywayz. If price is a problem the NA is half as cheap also in all categories. I'm just saying they all have great qualities. Watered down just sounds like the NA is no where near as good as a TT which is not true at all. I hear what your saying though and respect it.
