| This thread is locked, [ http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=1599468 ] so I am responding here: Hi, I appreciate your response, but it seems I made you mad with what I said about the 3000GT kit, and the intention was not to trash the 3000GT kit. I have had it on my car for years. No where in my post did I say spacers were needed for 17" rims on a 3000GT kit, there was no "misrepresentation" going on at all. As far as price, I used Mitsubishi 3000GT rotors. They can sell for under $100 + shipping. The MWS kit was designed to make a large rotor and stock caliper fit a "stock rim without spacers or studs", which my post says in many places, very clearly. Spacers and longer studs are needed for a 3000GT kit on stock Z32 rims, that's a simple fact. And for price I quoted on that 3000GT kit, I look to the original source, my own friend Gregg Desjardins, who originally did indeed design, make and sell the brackets years ago, for alot more than $200. He needed to make up for his R&D costs. [ http://www.greggscustoms.com/products_other.html#nissan ] And I have seen the "cheapie" 3000GT rotors crack and break loose at the hub at the track with my own eyes. So, an alternative is a good idea, especially for those who have stock rims. I agree, the 3000GT kit is still a viable alternative, but now there are two, and one fits stock rims with no extra hardware needed, and no additional installation costs....
