| It's not the flanges that cost $195 versus $140, but the process of welding them in (same for both) then chroming for "A" or powdercoating for "D". Chroming "one-offs" is more expensive than powdercoating "one-offs", so I've reflected that in the pricing for the PC'd kits. In contrast, when I chromed the initial "bulk" pipes (we're talking hundreds), chroming in the bulk was cheaper than PC'ing one-offs, hence why the PC'd option is a higher 'base' price.
