Message This weekend (tonight, actually), the locals and yocals are headed to Willows, CA's Thunderhill Raceway for the Annual All Datsun Meet at Mt. Shasta, CA.

The event starts tomorrow with a full-on trackday at our beloved Thunderhill Raceway. This is the same track we were at 2ish weeks ago with ClubZ. Even Salah's choice of tires is the same (this is a surprise considering the shower-full he has of options!) =) I'll be running Victoracer 275s all around, as shown in the pictures on 17x9' wheels.

In preparation for the event, I've changed 'a few things'. Since my Stoptech rotors had 2 years of beating after approximately 15 track events, new rotors were swapped in and the car was given a full detail. Yes, I've done some recent engine modifications which I'll make a full post on when we get back from Mt. Shasta. The hidden changes are the ported manifolds from AJ's garage followed by GT28RS turbos, ZCG 3" downpipes and testpipes, followed by the most obvious change to the SpecialtyZ exhaust. The dyno yesterday confirmed a safe 11.5 AFR at both 15 and 19psi.

For those power-hungry, it made 427/401 at 15psi and 484/460 at 19psi - both at base timing and without altering with the AFC (for now). I'm hoping for 450RWHP as my 91 octane program and up from there on higher boost and 100 octane. The GT28RS turbos come into efficiency over about 20psi, so there's much room over my 19psi "higher base" pull.

Big ups to Rob and crew at ZCG ([ www.zcargarage.com ]) for the awesome technical work you did in such a short time to make my hopes to get to the track tomorrow happen...

Onto the detail pictures, see TT XTZ? We know that black Zs rock... ;)

I already received new moldings from Yuichi at KurumaZ ([ www.kurumaz.com ]) and am going to intall them before the car show on Saturday. On order is a new third brake light since mine has done its duty and "purpled" like the rest of them do over time. It just turned 84,000 miles on my latest drive around town.

I have all these pics in hi-res if anyone is so inclined to want one, just shoot me a Gmail...
