My total was a little high due to the fact that a) I am a perfectionist that wanted a practically brand new car when I was done, and b) went with all aftermarket parts instead of stock for the conversion parts. All the OEM parts needed, I bought brand new through the dealer. Shit, just the four pipes to the ICs ran around $600 if I remember right (back in 2001) I did all the wiring new, hard parts, and other things needed to get a dead car from the scrap yard going at all. Then there was the engine, tranny, and everthing else that makes a TT.....a TT. Spent about $5000.00 right off the bat to go to Stage 5.....since I had none of these parts in the first place. I would guess, just to get the car from a stripped NA to pulling out of the driveway for that first time as a TT, I spent about $15,000 But that is just the way I did it! And though it may seem extreme, you really would have to see what I had, and what I made!
