| Refer to my post here about my trip to the 1/8th mile dragstrip last week. Skip ahead to this week. Saturday I'm planning on actually going to the 1/4 mile strip. AMS in Chicago is hosting a "Midwest Mayhem" something or other and an open test & tune is going on before hand. Since I have the weekend off, and several friends are going (including one with an empty trailer) I figured' I'll try my hand at the 1/4 mile strip. Now onto my question: I have been running my JWT Streety Duty Clutch for approx 2 years. One whole year was only on a state 3, and not much abuse occured due to launching, etc. Lately, I'm noticing a trend on the abuse of my clutch, as in its escalating. To add to this, a friend of mine who has an FD RX7 is going to let me use his stock wheel/MT ET Streets combo for saturday. He said since he isnt using them, I might as well see what I can get my girl to run. Most likely I will also throw in some race fuel and load up the program for that, then give it some more boost. Couple this with the fact that I want to go to the track about 2 more times this month alone, I'm wondering how long my street disc will last. It appeared to be in pretty decent shape last time I had it out a couple months ago. Anyone had much drag racing experience with the JWT series clutches? How long should I expect her to last?
