Message and I knew what I was getting into... you have to cut and clock the intake pipes... you have to drill out the oil outlet pipes and bend them to fit (bitch)... you have to custom fab or modify the stock wastegate mounts (bitch, requires shaving the engine mount brackets)... you have to play around with the outlet piping that leads back to the intercooler... on both sides the Triangle flange alignment is off a little... and on the passenger's side, it will stick out away from the engine a bit more than stock turbos...

Overall... PAIN IN THE ASS to install. Definitely NOT a weekend bolt on project... if you're during it yourself on the weekends, expect to spend over a month working on it... even the best "How-To"s don't show you everything... and if you can't weld, you'll have to cut the pipes, mark them, pray you got the alignment right, and take them to a shop that is willing and skilled enough to reweld them...

In the end, they are great performers for the money... I LOVED driving the guys car that had them... and his exhaust system sucked ass... I can only imagine what it would drive like with a proper exhaust. I would recommend the turbos... but not for an inexperienced DIYer. Only if you know what you're doing, have a understanding friend who is willing to help your unknowledgeable ass out, or a professional shop that is installing the parts for you... but more than likely a professional shop would not install turbos that required this much butcher/fab work... they'd just tell you to buy a bolt on kit as their labor pricing to do all these modifications would be outrageous, thus defeating the purpose of saving money on the turbos...

They are truly only for the DIYer that has dabbled with modding their Z and is not afraid to get his hands dirty and have his Z down for an extended period of time...
