| Case in point, the Bose system, if it is stolen they have to pay the high cost for replacement with a Bose system even though there are less costly higher "Quality" systems out there. I have dealt with insurance companies for over 30 years and have always received what I was due. The key is "pre-loss condition." If the car is mint before they must pay for it to be mint after. If it had all genuine parts before they don't use all genuine parts they will face paying for a redo with genuine parts, down time, and rental due to dissatisfaction. While the insurance co. will try to pay you for a cheaper replacement you can demand that the replacement has the same appearance as the original. Well, my windshield said Nissan on it, I told them that any replacement will be fine, as long as it is the same color and also has Nissan written on it or, I will consider it non satisfactory and then they will have to pay again for it to be redone with genuine parts. You must know your legal rights and not be afraid to demand them.
