Here were my issues... The pervious owner never had a real good battery tie down. So about 7months after i bought it just about everytime i would hit a bump in the road the rpm needle would go crazy.... and radio would shut off... and car would lose power and buck...also i would get sparks coming out of the hood!! This always scared the shit out of me. So on my way home to let my dad look at the issue i was about 7 houses away from mine, rounding a big curve and all of a sudden my Z acted up and this time she was pissed.... i had tons of sparks and i had a small fire when i opened the hood... the little flame was just feeding off the old paint on the hood but when it finally went out we saw the wires from the battery were all melted. Found out that everytimei hit a bump and went aroudn a curve my battery would hit the top of the hood and my bad wires would touch the hood causing sparks... replaced the two cables going to the battery and havent had the problem for about 7 months!
