Message	the same diameter (within .2") as the 16"s, with about the same footprint. I haven't seen any discernable difference in performance between the two. However, you'll get a more stable feeling ride on the top end with the 16"s (less sidewall=more stability as you drop the tire pressure). Take care, Mark
