I went with a few buddies to a local 1/8 mile track last night last night, just so I could get some launching practice in befor the real thing. The verdict is I need to find a set of smaller rear wheels with some street radials. Overall I was impressed with what the car did, and being it my first time out with this car in its entirely new setup, I didnt fare to bad. Onto the results Best 3 runs were 8.32-.4 @ ~90mph. Most of first gear was spent spinning, as notable by the fact I was runnign 2.1 60ft times. My reactions sucked all night, but I wasnt really trying to get a good light, just good times. I made one pass on street tire pressure, and then dropped it to 15psi just to see what the difference was and WOW. No wheelhop at all, just some spinning (and a completely different sound) I will say though it was quite impressed with the amount of attention the "domestic" crowd gave me. I dont think I drove through the pits once w/out getting stopped by someone that wanted to ask about the car, or just tell me it was fast, lol. One person went so far as to say "I've been here 4 years and this is THE most impressive car I've seen, it just takes you by surprise. Once you hit 3rd gear you are GONE man" Another guy told me he had a 442 something "i forget, sorry man" he ususally brings out, but he said it was awesome and everytime he couldnt wait to see me run again. I think with some good tires I can dip into 7's decently Anyone know what an 8.3 typically results in the 1/4? Keep in mind my car is much faster from 90-120 than 0-90.
