I was watching IMSA on tv, and saw Steve Millen kicking everyones ass. Geoff Brabham(sp?) was kicking ass as well. In my eyes it was Nissan vs. Toyota. Even in stadium truck racing there was Toyota and Nissan. My brother was a huge Toyota fan, and There was Nissan and that sweet Z race car. I obviously couldn't have a GTP car, so I was addicted to the Z, in 89 or 90. I saw my 1st Z32 in 6th grade parked at a house across the street from the playground and I was hooked like a hoe on crack. I practically gave up on getting a Z.
I live in Roswell, NM and up to the time I was 17 (1997) I had only seen 3 or 4 Z's in my town. But the Z gods smiled down on me and in 1999 there was one for sale, and the guy worked with me. I didn't have any credit what so ever, so I asked my dad if he would co sign and he said, NO!! I was good at saving money, and told him if I didn't get the Z, I was going to get me a crotch rocket. He later realized I was serious, so he cosigned for me. It is a 90 white pearl NA 2 seater. It's paid off and it's mine. It's now a TT and getting closer to the car that I've always wanted. But ultimately will never have.
