I'll admit it: being a girl, I went most of my life with no interest in cars. I saw cars all over the road and couldn't tell you if they were Toyotas or Oldsmobiles, because, frankly, I didn't care. One Friday in February three years ago I got bitten by the car bug, hard. I was suddenly curious about what all those numbers on the window stickers in new cars meant. That curiosity led to a whole day on the web learning how engines work (thank you howstuffworks.com!), which took me from knowing nothing at all to understanding why it's really important to change the oil and spark plugs. There was no turning back. From a basic understanding of basic mechanics, I discovered the world of tuning, had a brief fling with ricey ideas for my Sunfire, then decided that would be a waste of money and I actually wanted to take it more seriously than that. In the meantime, I'd been noticing cars on the road, noticing what caught my eye. I fell hard for the Z. You know those feelings you have when you see the person you have a crush on? I'd get all the same symptoms when I saw a Z go by - fluttery heart, adrenaline burst, sweaty palms... That phenylethylamine is one strong drug! ;-) I had to have one. I wasn't sure I was serious, though, till I found myself driving up from VA to NY to check out a slick black TT. Now it's mine, and I couldn't be happier. The feeling is topped off by having discovered that this car has such a supportive community - glad I found you guys! Like you, ZFreak, I plan on keeping it forever. I hope to be blasting down the road in it when I'm a 82 year old lady. The grandkids will have to wait till I'm dead. ;-)
