Message	to worry too much. Not like the old American cars of the 70's which had sharp edges along to fenders. I think that is what you are scared of; cutting through the paint right? I've used the buffer many times now on the Z with a pre-wax cleaner, swirl remover, polish and wax. Haven't had a problem yet. It's just one of the $30-50 cheapy ones, nothing fancy.
