Message	until someone measures the flow volume offered by open OEM recircs versus that of a BlitZ or HKS BOV, it will remain a guess. You would also need to estimate how much volume the turbos actually need to evacuate in order to avoid surge...not an easy task at all. Intuitively, I would say that as soon as you have a major leak in the system (i.e. open OEM recircs), air pressure should drop sufficiently that the compressor wheel would still be driven in the right direction by the exhaust gases.
