Message The flaw in your logic is that you are comparing MAX effiency of each turbo. You need to compare same efficency. For example look at the 72% lines on spool up - They are very similar, in fact the GT28RS stays at or above 72% at the 5k rpm line up to 2.25 bar where as the GT28R drops off the 5k rpm line at a lower 2.05 bar.
I am tying to point out that you say the GT28RS is inferior because it is not giving its MAX on low end spool up where as the GT28R is, when in fact it is giving a very comparable spool up when you actually look at the numbers, its just the GT28RS has SO much more to give on top (observe the HUGE ULTRA high efficency range in the 6k - 7k rpm range on the GT28RS - the old GT28R can only dream of efficency in that range) .

The way I read your charts I am sticking with what I said before.
The only reason to go with the GT28R over the GT28RS is simply price. The GT28RS seems to do everything similarly (spool up) or better (top end) than the the GT28R from these charts you posted.

Either way, thanks for providing these very valuble charts, very nicely done!
