Message	A new shortblock is about $3800. When my engine was replaced 4 years ago (under warranty), the bill was about $12k, so your quote seems on-par. How much are you looking TO spend? Can you install it yourself? Keep in mind that R&R alone is ~15 hours. Here are the boko #s: Engine R&R (remove & replace) 15.1 hours - includes transfer of all fuel and electrical units, does not include replacement of optional equipment w/AC add 0.8 w/PS add 0.7 Timing Belt w/tensioner 5.7, if you do the cam seals @ the same time 7.1 for all. Clutch/etc. 5.2. SS ____________________________________________________ 2-19... always remember 2-19...
