| know its a little late for memorial day weekend travel, but I want to remind everyone to buckle up. I'd like to share a story with you from this weekend. Sunday evening after returning home from the trip to cordova I called my buddy Seth to see what he was up to. He needed to go into a work meeting from 6-7:30 pm or so. He told me to get showered up and stuff so we could go and hang out. This guy marko who owns alot of surrounding bars was having an employee party at his house near St Joe. My friend being an employee at guido's was invited to go, and so was I. I got ready and met him at around 7:45 ish around my place
We headed out to High Cross road and Anthony drive were we needed to turn. I was following his tacoma in my Z. He took off down Anthony (this is in the country) and was probably doing 50mph or so. I saw this turn coming up ahead of us (jogging to the right) and I couldnt really see around the turn because the weeds were so tall on the side of the road. My buddy dissapeared around the corner and I followed through a few seconds later. To my disbelieve, I round the corner entering a bunch of dust that was kicked up and I immediately slow down. As the dust is clearing I am horrified to see my best friends tacoma upside down on the road ahead. I parked my car off to the side of the road and ran up to his passenger window which was busted out and I was yelling his name. I had no idea what to think. I remember him saying "I'm ok, just get me out of here" and I jumped down to the ground to see how bad he was hurt. I asked him again if he was hurt at all and he said no. I cleared the glass off of the window and helped him slide out. I helped him over to the cornfield and sat him down and I ran back and kicked the driver's side window in and crawled in the truck and shut it off (was still running, upside down) Someone else that was passing by stopped and called the police. The truck is a total loss, but because seth was wearing his seatbelt, his life was saved, and he literally walked away from the accident with a few minor scratches on his forearms. I'm very thankful he was spared, as I just lost my uncle last week in a fatal car accident up near chicago. Please guys, use your heads when you're driving, its very unneverving having to pull your best friend from out from a rolled vehicle, not knowing what to expect
