I think you are comparing it to the apollo, which is designed like your greddy. Any fmic with horizontal cores is not ideal for the z32. Not only does it compromise the crossflow plenum design, I would assume the amount of pressure drop accross the horizontal core is far greater then you would experience with SMIC's or a properly designed fmic, like the HKS unit. You may want to e-mail member aspendog, I believe he had pre-throttlebody balance tube installed on his Z.
