| Today I will be installing my EGT probes. I am wondering where I should mount them. I seen them in the turbine housing and in the exhaust manifold. My turbos are already installed on my motor that is on the engine stand. Talking to Ash before, he mentioned that if I drilled/tapped into the turbine housing or Exhaust manifold, the shavings would not harm the turbine blades because they would basically just fall out when I push some compressed air through the turbo. How cast iron is a self-lubricating metal, etc. My EGT probes are stainless steel. I thought I seen a post before about someone's breaking up in the exhaust manifold, thus tearing up the turbo. Should I just mount the EGT probes in the turbine housing or the Exhaust manifold? If the Exhaust manifold, Where should I put them? On the turbo collector/ manifold outlet runner? Pictures would be awesome and also some experiences with people's EGT placements. Thanks alot! Shawn300zTT
