if you are already worried about things breaking down and what not then don't put yourself in a situation to worry about that all the time. Spend the money you were going to spend on modding to clean things up and making sure that the car is in the best shape possible. New seals, new hoses, new fluids etc etc. If I remember correctly you are a highschool student and your Z is your DD so if it breaks down then you are in big trouble. Make sure nothing will go wrong first then mod it.
 I have nightmares about that happening...I'd be the poor bastard you'd hear about on the news that gets killed by a softball-size chunk while spreading out my body over the hood and screaming "Nooo!"
