| Here is the information we recieved when we first learned of the accident: Sam was severly burned early Monday morning in an explosion and fire at his
shop. He has 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his legs and back. He's in
Parkland Hospital in Dallas now and is expected to pull through. He's under
heavy sedation, no visitors, but his parents are there. His shop is a total loss, the heat was so intense that the wheels on his Z
melted as did the tool box and most everything else. They were filling a container with de-greaser (hexane) when a spill occured.
The spill ran under an extension cord and ignited a flash fire on the floor,
which ignited the small container. Which ignited the drum according to AFD. There were two other people in the shop at the time from a machine shop
around the corner. One of those (I don't know his name) was taken to Brook
Burn Center in San Antonio. The other, owner of the machine shop, was
treated at Seaton NW. It was the Machine shop owner that pulled Sam and the
other guy out of the fire. Sam's part of our Z family, I thought ya'll should know. Keep him in your
prayers.
