Unless the 2+0 and the convertible are different in this area, this should work. There's about 5" of space where the passenger trim panel meets the floor, leaving room for one 3/8" MDF piece, a 3.25"-deep subwoofer, and a bit of room behind the subwoofer for cooling. Step 1. Locate (preferably through purchase or trade) a used trim piece behind the passenger seat. You can use the original one in your Z, but I recommend getting one that is not in very good shape as you'll be tearing it apart and recovering it anyway. Step 2. Purchase Illusio Audio Nd 12i (12" inverted cone subwoofer. 3.25" mounting depth. See [ http://www.illusionaudio.com ]). A 15i won't fit (due to the diameter of the driver and space from the sheet metal below the ABS), but a 10i or 12i will fit with some skill. Unless you're a professional, I wouldn't recommend trying to fit the 12i behind the seat: Go with the 10i. It has only a 2.8" mounting depth and will give you another 3/4" of room to play with. Step 3. Cut out trim ring to mount subwoofer on. Step 4. 'Glas it into the trim panel (much like user ssshakey 09 did with the center trim panel). You'll want to locate it in the lower half of the panel, towards the outside of the vehicle (where the sheet metal isn't flat as it curves to meet the area below the ABS. Step 5. Cover the trim panel, preferably in carpet and tweed/suede to match the rest of the interior.I just sat in my passenger seat, and you're right: It won't work with the seat back all the way. It needs to be about two 'clicks' ahead of the last position. I thought it was back all the way, but it's not. I'm 6'2" 250lbs with size 16 Air Jordans and I fit in the passenger seat just fine with the seat in that position, so I hope any passenger you have will fit with the subwoofer behind the seat. But, hey, who am I to judge? Maybe you like big girls. By the way, I'm sorry you enjoy listening to music with the wOOx. I've heard component mids with more low-range. :)
