Message There are several reasons:

1. IRON (not steel) is a much better heat sink to help keep the brakes from fading.

2. the iron calipers are stiffer which helped w. custom complaints of brank "shake" or warped rotors.

3. the aluminium calipers w. time wear out and can develop problems w. keeping the pads steady.
